1.Humans make every hiring decision.
BrunoIQ grades answers and ranks candidates. It does not advance them, reject them, or hire them. Every decision that affects a candidate's outcome is made by a person at your organization, every time, with no exceptions and no auto-advance shortcuts.
Even a top-scoring candidate goes nowhere until a human looks at the evidence and says yes. We built the system so that's not a policy you have to enforce. It's the only way it works.
2.Grades come from words, not faces.
Candidates are scored on the content of their answers: what they said, what it shows about how they think and work. Appearance, accent, age, background, and video "presence" are not inputs to any grade. Recorded answers are transcribed, and the transcript is what gets judged.
3.Every grade has a transcript behind it.
There is no black box. Every score traces back to the candidate's actual answers, and anyone reviewing a decision can open the receipt in seconds. If a grade can't be explained by what the candidate said, that's a defect, and we treat it like one.
4.Candidates know, before they start.
Every candidate is told they're entering an AI-assisted screening process before they answer a single question. No silent scoring, no fine-print disclosure after the fact.
5.Opting out is a right, not a red flag.
A candidate who prefers a traditional process can ask for one, and that request is never held against them. Declining AI-assisted screening is not data. It's a preference, and we treat it with respect.
6.Bias doesn't get a vote.
Every candidate answers the same questions and is scored against the same rubric, on the content of their answers. Appearance, accent, age, and the other places bias usually hides are not part of any grade, and the evaluator is explicitly instructed to disregard protected characteristics anywhere they could be inferred.
The law treats fairness as something you measure and audit, not something you declare. So we built for that: every grade is traceable to what the candidate actually said, every screen is auditable end to end, and the process holds up when someone asks hard questions.
